A Brief History

A small group, who enjoyed singing together, decided to form the Romulus Singers in the year 2000.   We now perform a wide range of sacred and secular music, mainly a cappella.  We rehearse fortnightly on Tuesday evenings at Holy Angels Church, Hale Barns, Cheshire, WA15 0HF.

We have enjoyed performing under conductors Christopher Foy, Imelda Leah, Jon Henderson and Kate Shipway who took over as Musical Director in June 2013.

We have given concerts in many locations in the area, including Ashley, Arley, and Chelford, and further afield in the Fylde Peninsula, Kirkby Lonsdale, Cartmel Priory, the Alpujarras region of Spain and the Chamonix area in France. In 2020 we plan to sing in Jersey.

We are currently recruiting new members, particularly in the tenor section.  We would love to hear from you if you are interested in joining.
